DESCRIPTION:The Poweshiek Democrats are hosting a fundraiser for State House candidate Ann Egley and Poweshiek County Supervisor candidates Jason Roudabush and Lamoyne Gaard. This event will take place on Sunday\, May 6 at Solera (829 Broad Street) in Grinnell from 1 to 3 p.m. with all proceeds to be split among the three candidates. There’s no specific required donation\, but a $30 donation helps each candidate with $10. You can always give more! DESCRIPTION:The League of Women Voters of Iowa will host a gubernatorial candidate forum on April 21 from 10 a.m. to noon in Cedar Rapids. All six Democratic candidates (Nate Boulton\, Cathy Glasson\, Fred Hubbell\,  Andy McGuire\, John Norris and Ross Wilburn) have confirmed they will attend. \nIowa League of Women Voters organizations will participate in this forum through ezTalks or Facebook meeting places.  This will allow all Iowans an opportunity to ask questions and watch these forums.   In Grinnell\, the forum will be held at the Joe Rosenfield\, Room 209 on the Grinnell College campus. No reservations are needed and the event is free and open to the public. \nQuestions for the candidates can be sent by April 20 to lwesspeters@gmail.com.  \n  \n
