SUMMARY:Request an Absentee Ballot
DESCRIPTION:Starting July 6\, you can request an absentee ballot for the November 3 general election. \n\n\n\nThe ballots will not be mailed until October 5\, but you can submit your request today and track the status of your ballot at the Iowa Secretary of State’s website. Unless you plan to change addresses between now and election day\, you can start this absentee voting process now. \n\n\n\nTo submit your request in Poweshiek County\, follow the instructions at the Secretary of State’s webpage. Print and fill out the form from the Secretary of State’ site and mail it to Poweshiek County Auditor\, PO Box 57\, Montezuma\, IA 50171 \n\n  \nWe recommend mailing your absentee ballot request by Saturday\, October 17 to ensure that it is received in time for processing at the Auditor’s Office. We recommend that you mail in absentee ballots by Saturday\, October 31 to ensure they are received at the Auditor’s Office in time to be counted on Election Day. \n\n\n\nWe encourage everyone who to vote absentee during this election at the time of COVID-19. It makes things safer for you\, for poll workers\, and for the people who do have to vote in person for some reason. \n\n\n\nMAKE SURE TO VOTE THIS NOVEMBER!!
