SUMMARY:Iowa State Democratic Convention
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Iowa Democratic Party will hold its biennial State Convention on June 16\, 2012\, in Des Moines. The 1200 delegates to the State Convention will be elected at the county conventions across the state. \n  \nPurpose: Attendees will elect Iowa’s remaining delegates to the National Convention: 12 At-large Delegates and 7 Pledged Party Leader and Elected Official Delegates (PLEO) and 1 At-Large Alternate. IDP Constituency Caucuses will also meet and elect members to the State Central Committee. Attendees to the State Convention will also vote on resolutions to the state party platform. \n  \nAttendees who would like to run as either an At Large or PLEO delegate to the National Convention\, must collect signatures and complete the appropriate petition. \nhttp://www.iowademocrats.org/2012conventions/state-convention/
